During these tumultuous and angst-producing times it is important to take stock of the good in our professional world. It’s with a positive mind-set that we will most successfully plan for what has the potential to be a tremendous 2019.
Cue the dramatic drum-roll because here are three things that inspire my day:
1. Threats are Met with Innovation. Crooks, criminals, hackers, attackers and corrupt nation states are on the hunt for our corporate and personal information. Cybersecurity will continue to influence and shape business, political and individual decision-making.
At Strategic Communications Group (Strategic), we work for smart, committed and creative technologists and engineers who dedicate themselves to our online safety. I’m encouraged by the efforts of Booz Allen Hamilton, Carahsoft, Cylance, DLT, FireEye, General Dynamics Information Technology, Juniper Networks, NetApp, Raytheon, RedSeal, Rockwell Collins, SolarWinds, SYNNEX and ViON.

2. Marketers Wed Content, Distribution and Analytics in Creative Campaigns. I collaborate with corporate, industry and field marketing professionals who embrace the value and impact of thought leadership content and its tie to demand generation. This is how we have always done things is foreign to their lexicon. They seek growth and competitive advantage through unique and innovative programs.
Modern Equipment Manufacturer is a recent example. Just launched by Sierra Monitor Corporation, the goal of this initiative is to encourage original equipment manufacturers in the building and facilities space to embrace cloud technologies.
The marketers at education provider Learning Without Tears also flexed their creativity this year with our collaboration on Today’s Modern Educator. The fact nothing similar to this site existed in the market merely fortified their resolve.
3. How My Colleagues at Strategic Deliver on the Promise. The senior team at Strategic has worked together for nearly a decade. We’re different personalities. We have diverse strengths (and weaknesses). We challenge each other to think creatively and to motivate exceptional performance.
We’re joined by younger professionals who are now shaping our company’s path forward in areas like digital development, social media advertising and search optimization. It is this blend of talent that inspires.
